Construction of 18No Jetties as extensions to the existing marina facility. Jetty construction had to be carried out using plant and equipment mounted on modular barge systems. This included a 30T excavator working from the barge for the installation of all temporary works, pitching and driving of piles using a combination of vibrating and impact piling hammers. Jetties comprised:-
Installation of temporary works constructed from a jack-up Bailey Frame supporting individual gates for each pile bent.
Supply and driving of 220No 7m long timber piles (225 x 225mm sq.) into boulder clay using an impact hammer.
Erection of associated timber framing, cladding and decking to jetties varying in length between 12.6m and 13.6m.
Installation of 2No Dia. 1050mm recirculation culverts through the existing breakwater.
Construction of 40m long slipway varying in width between 3m to 4m.
